For this video, I designed music and audio tracks to add to an existing silent video for the purpose of adding instruction and engaging your learners by connecting music and audio with visual information.
The video used has many still images. New forms of informational videos usually have some animation or reenactment and this one did not. I originally thought some form of drunk history might be fun, however, the images did not lead to something I could use. So I decided to tell horror stories instead. I based my stories on what I learned from research of the homes focused on in the video.
After writing the scripts, I recorded the narration. Two stories were really hard to fit into the timing of the images so I had to re-record some parts. I used horror music, farm music, screaming, fire, thuds, chickens, and music downloaded from the Westar library.  These stories are along the lines of the scary stories books you read when you were kids, so my target audience is 7- 12 year olds.
I chose to use compression and squeeze in my narration track and squeeze and bright in my master track. I used a blue snowball mic with a frequency response of 40Hz to 18kHz with a pop filter and bluetooth Pioneer over the ear headset with frequency response 9 Hz ~ 22 000 Hz.
